2.9.12 - LMS 5MT No.44932 1Z73 Carlisle - York, Ormside

The epic location of Ormside with it's terific Pennine backdrop was my chosen location for this afternoon's southbound Waverley. Despite appearances sun was by no means abundant and at this spot the view had been in shadow for a good 20 mins prior to the train appearing. I took two shots, and I've changed this view to black and white. Seen storming south having just crossed Ormside viaduct immaculate LMS 'Black 5' 44932 looks quite at home in charge of 1Z73 Carlisle - York 'Waverley'.
