JL - 6.1.12 66109 6E97 Kirkby Thore - Tees Dock, Keld

One of those days which promises so much but delivers very little. It had been my plan to shoot all 3 lunchtime freights at or around Keld. The first, 66109 hauling the gypsum empties was bagged without much drama. Just a very slow approach to an Appleby distant signal which actually helped improve the light. Then the trouble began, a hired-in DBS Shed had failed on 6K05 with no driver for a rescue loco for several hours, logs diverted to WCML. Wouldn't you know it, the best day weather for some time and it all goes sideways. C'est la vie.
