JL - 5.5.23 66727 6C00 Clitheroe - Carlisle NY, Ais Gill

The early appearance of 6C00 on Wednesday evening was not repeated this Friday night and it was a good thing to. With the skies clearing from the south the light was getting better all the time with it the potential for some lovely evening S&C conditions with stunning cloudscapes. I was sitting at Greengates watching the Ribblehead webcam when 66727 'Maritime One' passed running 13 mins early with the Clitheroe - Carlisle Yard loaded cement tanks. A glance at the sky to assess the chances of sun and a fast decision to quickly head south where the changes of sun looked more favourable. I got to Ais Gill with 5 minutes to spare, not brave enough to chance any more distance and threw the drone up for a shot at MP260 and grabbed a nice shot from the ground at Ais Gill. One of those nights where were a little effort and flexibility was rewarded.
