Looking at the shots from Greengates, in hindsight I wished I'd have risked being there. I decided to play the percentages and go slightly further north to Gallansay where there was less cloud. Still, it's a lovely location with one of the best Pennine backdrops on the line and who could complain at sun and snow conditions. 70801 roars through Gallansay with 6J37 Carlisle - Chirk logs.
