JL - 28.2.18 158842 15:06 Carlisle - Leeds, Gallansay

The 15:06 Carlisle - Leeds service train was the 3rd working in a series of 3 diagrams which were only 1 section apart. The train holding up proceedings was the earlier stopping passenger diagram which was loosing time between every stop. It somehow took 2 hours for the Carlisle - Kirkby journey rather than 1. The knock on effect for 158842 was it crawled through the Eden Valley behind the problematic passenger and the logs. Probably the only person happy with this was me, who grabbed a lovley shot at Gallansay with another snow storm battering the distant high Pennines driven on by the Beast from the East storm.
