JL 27.4.15 67012 & 67029 1Q36 Heaton - Derby, Appleby

Working in Scotland today took me away from Cumbria on what started as a 'not a cloud in the sky' day with minus 4 degrees overnight. At least with traffic levels very low and with no log working expected I wouldnt be missing too much I told myself. However, I travelled back to Penrith on the 13.09 Glasgow - Manchester Airport TPE EMU and passing through Carlisle I saw this ensemble parked in the centre road. If we made it Penrith without any delay I'd have enough time to get a grab shot around Appleby. I chose the station footbridge which would allow for an each-way shot and with 5mins to spare waited in dull until 67012 'A Shropshire Lad' appeared on 1Q36 Heaton - Derby with 67026 'Royal Diamond' on the rear. Not bad for a grab shot and at least I got something from a day full of photographic potential. According to RTT 6K05 was also cancelled so it was just this and the cement for S&C non-passenger workings today.
