JL - 25.6.20 60046 6Z57 Boston Sleaford - Carlisle Yard, Quarry Farm

With Driver Michael Lunn at the controls another early running 6Z57 Boston - Carlisle Yard is seen cruising through stunning Pennine S&C scenery. The veteran DC Rail machine glows in the evening light as she heads north through Quarry Farm. A wonderful way to spend the early evening especially when we were done by some cloud in Garsdale for the southbound diagram the night before. Unfortunately when this working reached Carlisle it suffered a long delay due to DRS 88007 bringing the wires down on a preceding service. 60046 stood in platform 3 at Carlisle for 8.5 hours, finally getting into Kingmoor at 04:09. So from 106 mins ahead at Blea Moor to 300 mins behind at Kingmoor, a long old shift for Driver Lunn!
