I don't understand why the lunchtime logs went via the WCML today rather than the S&C. There seemed no obvious reason for it and obviously the photographer wants the logs on the S&C every time! As the cloud approached from the west getting any sun was going to be tough. The section for the best chance of sun looked to be between Saltwerwath and Tebay so with palisade further north and the cutting in shadow I opted for a 'train in the landscape' shot off the hillside. An unidentified Colas 60 glows in the light as she descends Shap with 6J37 Carlisle - Chirk.
