19.11.13 - 37423 & 37409 6C27 Carlisle - Shap, Greenholme - West Coast Main Line (north to south)
Thunder in the Fells 2: I wasn't too bothered about a shot of 6C27 today but when the gen from Carlisle station reported a 37/4 pairing on the working it was a quick decision about a location at this difficlut time of day. The light is at a favourable angle just south of Greenholme before the line passes under the M6. I rushed into position for this grab shot which doesn't have the scenic impact of many locations in this area but it'll do for a record shot. 37409 'Lord Hinton' and 37423 'Spirit of the Lakes' crawl towards Tebay loop in order to run around prior to working back upgrade to Shap quarry.
