A loco and service that I've been meaning to target for a shot for some time. Once inseparable from the ECML, there are now just 2 remaining weekday HST diagrams on the route. Both Cross Country workings to / from Plymouth. I target this diagram for travel to the Midlands whenever I can and really enjoy the rides but today it was a photograph from the air I was after. Something to show off the magnificent LNER train shed of Darlington Bank Top station with another classic design, the original Intercity executive livery which looks so good on XC's 43184. Seen leaving bang on time, 1V50 06:06 Edinburgh - Plymouth is back underway.
