JL - 21.9.22 86101, Carlisle

Seen against Carlisle's famous wall having just worked up from Crewe with the 'Ayrliner' rail tour LSL's 86101 'Sir William A Stanier FRS' looks right at home back on WCML metals. The Intercity loco was giving way to 2 x 20s for the next leg to Stranraer. The tour, which I was on, stayed bang on time most of the day.
