4.10.12 - 66849 6J37 Carlisle - Chirk, Ormside

During Summer-time this is a location that I'd normally use for steam later in the afternoons when the sun is a bit further over to the west. However, as cloud cover closed in today sunshine looked most likley just to the south of Appleby for the lunchtime freights and with fantastic cloud formations and a brooding Pennine backdrop I visited Ormisde for a shot of the logs. Running bang on time, and for a change in front of 6K05, 66849 'Wylam Dilly' powers south at the start of the Long Drag climb for southbound workings with 6J37 Carlisle - Chirk.
