2.8.09 - LMS Royal Scot 46115 Carlisle - York, Ormside

Other than very small details on the track and the locomotive headlight, there's very little in this scene to give away the fact that it's August 2009. I'm not really one for trying to recreate perfect replica images of days gone by, but capturing scenes like this please me because I grew up looking at books with very similar photographs taken by very famous photographers. I reckon even the great Bishop Eric Treacy would've been happy wiith this. A classic Settle and Carlisle locomotive and stock in a classic location - what a sight!
