20.4.10 - 66104 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Appleby - Appleby
Working at a hotel in Penrith today I was glancing out of the window at the glorious spring conditions and wondering what I might be missing. So, when lunchtime came I dashed down to Appleby to catch the freights. The best shot was this one of 66104 on 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe engineers. Since the arrival of the low picket fences on the platform ends I'm not sure I'll do this shot again. For a comparison (pre-fences) see the other shots taken from the same spot a few years earlier.
