16.8.13 - 56105 6Z70 Ribblehead - Chirk, Salt Lake Cotttages

Naturally, we had sun for the 2 workings either side of the logs and full dull when the main target of the day appeared. I've uploaded it for the record rather than any photographic merit but that said, it's not an bad shot. After running round at Blea Moor, Colas owned 56105 gets underway with 6Z70 to Chirk. The lineside rumours are that Colas may acquire 70099 which had previously been based in Turkey and that if true, that loco may take over log traffic. So it's a case of catch the grids while you can in case this is a short lived haulage situation. I for one am hoping that they at least continue into the Autumn so that some shots can be obtained in decent light.
