12.3.14 - 57003 & 57007 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Ais Gill

For the 3rd day in succession the same DRS 57 pair took charge of 6K05. Yet again I was was in the Ais Gill area and having already bagged the shots at Ais Gill viaduct and MP 260 my next favourite location is the curve approaching the road bridge. Today the load was a substantial rake of low siders filled with ballast and the result was a stonker of a shot. With the cleaner of the two leading, 57003 & 57007 pound up the last few yards towards Ais Gill summit with the lunchtime Carlisle - Crewe engineers. I owe a pint to the lad in charge of the loco roster planner at Kingmoor! More of the same please.
