10.8.12 - 66848 6Z70 Ribblehead - Chirk, Ribblehead

After seeing the late running 6K05 at Birkett Common I dashed down to Ribblehead to see the departure of the Ribblehead logs (thanks to JH for the reminder!). Once again the very clear atmosphere and sparkling light is evident in this image as 66848 creeps out of Ribblehead sidings with the first portion of 6Z70 Ribblehead - Chirk. Now that this working has been lengthened the train will draw out the first wagonload, fouling the down line, then set back to pick up the remaining wagons which are seen here waiting in the adjacent siding.
