10.8.11 - LMS 8F 48151 Carlisle - Lancaster 'Fellsman' Kirkby Stephen

What you might call proper S&C weather today, strong wind and horizontal driving rain, except that it was also quite warm. The usual Wednesday Fellsman operated and the greasy rain conditions meant 8F 48151 was struggling as she passed Kirkby Stephen. Working back from Carlisle to Lancaster the passengers on this occasional did not have the normal beautiful Pennine vistas to look out upon due to the low cloud.
