10.3.14 - 57003 & 57007 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Ais Gill viaduct

DRS are to be congratulated for their loco rostering recently. On the off chance the lad in charge of these decisions visits my site, if you can arrange for decent traction for 6K05 on every sunny day I'd be much obliged! Today the afternoon 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe engineers was worked by a pair of 57s. The cleaner of the two, 57003, led 57007 and a long train of welded rail sections. Seen at the classic S&C location of Ais Gill viaduct with the stunning view down Mallerstang as a backdrop. What a sight and sound to behold.
