28.2.13 - 66524 6E76 Hunterston - West Burton, Soulby Rd Bridge

Another day without a cloud in the sky was just what we wanted. Temperatures around 10 degrees made for a very pleasant days photograhy starting with this shot at Soulby Rd Bridge. Kirkby box had informed me that 66524 on 6E76 Hunterston - West Burton was running 176 mins late and as such was expected through Kirkby at around 10.30am. Of course there was all the usual options, Smardale, Angerholme etc but I opted for the Soulby Rd Bridge location. Whilst this spot is fairly tame by S&C standards it's quite pleasant and I'd only ever taken the cement here previously, todays late running meant I could get my first coal shot at this location. The other plus point is that it's only seconds from the car and so I could give chase and go for another shot further south.
