After the rare flask working from Carlisle to Doncaster earlier today via Tyne Valley behind DRS favourite large logo 37401, what else would this Bank Holiday Monday throw up? An ECS working was expected from Kilmarnock - Crewe HS but tour loco 47593 was apparently low on fuel so LSL stablemate 47828 was dispatched to bring the train home. This meant that ECS 5Z59 was always going to be running later than pathed. Seen descending Shap at Greenholme the heritage liveried Duff pairing look quite at home as they forge south running over 4 hours late at this point.
