JL - 20.3.21 60019 6D05 Lackenby - Scunthorpe, South Bank

Whilst the famous Dorman Long tower (just out of frame to the left) is apparently staying, the rest of the South Bank site will soon undergo significant regeneration to secure exciting future business opportunities. Whilst that's great news for the area which has a very proud industrial past. It does mean locations like this will change forever. I've always loved industrial shots on Teesside so I wanted to capture at least one more shot whilst I still can. On the official first day of Spring, 60019 'Port of Grimsby & Immingham' leads a lengthy 6D05 Lackenby - Scunthorpe empty steel past the now dormant coke ovens of South Bank. Nice chatting to AA at this spot today.
