JL - 20.1.23 57304 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Newbiggin

After very unusually turning out a solo 37 on 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe yesterday, the DRS team at Kingmoor had more fun in store for S&C photographers today. 57304 'Pride of Cheshire' was expected but unfortunately so was a featherweight consist. This meant serious consideration around location choice. One of my 'go to' locations for short formations on K05 is Newbiggin. The huge occupation bridge in the background and tight angle negate the visual impact of short trains. To my eye at least. Seen in stunning light, at the perfect angle, the regular S&C diagram glides south running 30 early at this point.
