JL - 19.4.20 397002 1S40 Man Air - Carlisle, Grayrigg

With the UK on corona virus lock down, Government guidance allows us to go out for 1 hours exercise per day and even then this can't be too far from home. Realistically, this limits me to a stretch of the S&C and a very short section of the WCML. But a quick trip down to the supermarket at Kendal for essentials allowed me to stop in at Grayrigg this Sunday morning for a couple of expected engineers workings following an overnight possession south of Lancaster.
In between these workings TPE EMU 397002 raced north with the first passenger working of a new day, the 1S40 Manchester Airport - Carlisle.
