JL - 19.12.24 57313 1Z59 Carnforth - Man Vic, Long Preston

The first day of my 2024 Christmas break very fortunately coincided with a break from the cold and grey conditions. A brisk overnight northerly brought clear and bright conditions across the north and heading out I was spoiled for choice. With a GBRf celeb on the inbound Arcow, a 60 up the Rylstone branch and the Northern Belle running over the LNW I headed for this quiet corner of Yorkshire for a leisurely days photting. After my first shot of this working at Clapham viaduct I decided to give chase because the conditions were so good and I fancied my chances of beating it to Hellifield. I overtook 57313 and 1Z59 at Settle Junc and had just enough time to get the drone in the air at Long Preston. So Scarborough Castle and 1Z59 Carnforth - Man Vic Northern Belle is seen again, this time approaching the quiet Dales village.
