JL - 16.3.24 60026 6N85 Lynemouth - Tyne Dock, Gateshead

Calm and bright conditions were forecast in the North East for this Spring Saturday however high cloud was expected by lunchtime. With the cloud advancing from the south west, I once again headed for the Blyth & Tyne where everyone's favourite Tug, GBRF's 60026 had worked into Lynemouth early. This meant it would leave in either the 9am or 10am path south and several shots would be possible before it reached Tyne Dock. To kick off with I headed for Lynemouth, then it was a quick dash around to Woodhorn for a shot either side of the bridge. After which I opted for Bedlington viaduct before heading into Newcastle. With the beautiful city scape set out behind the formation, and with several Tyne bridges visible, 'Helvellyn' snakes wonderfully through Gateshead high above the Tyne's south bank. I was anticipating an 8th shot but there was no signal check at Pelaw so this beat me to Felling.
