With heavy overnight snows and clear skies forecast this early March day promised the classic combination of sun and snow so photographers were out in force throughout the county. The early cloud drifted south on ever strengthening winds and Cumbria shivered in Winter scenes. I'm still experimenting with new locations for the drone and this point on the WCML where the M6, railway and Old Scotch Rd running close together is a very interesting spot. 66122 thunders south making good time with 4M27 Mossend - Daventry which is currently running via G&SW line rather than the route over Beattock.
