3.10.09 - LNER A1 Pacific 60153, Armathwaite

My Dad's shot of A1 Pacific 'Tornado' doing battle with the Long Drag. Having left Carlisle 10 minutes late the sun was dropping fast by the time the railtour reached Armathwaite on the return southbound run. She did not appear to be steaming well and was already another 10 minutes late at this stage and doing very little to make up time. The beautiful locomotive is seen drifting along through the Autumnal shadows.
