23.2.10 66176 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Armathwaite

Today was a continuation of my run of luck when it comes to decent light in February. The forecasted clear blue skies across northern England didn't materialise, it seems that the front moving up from the south arrived sooner than expected. However, I found an oasis of sunlight around Armathwaite that coincided with the appearance of 66176 on 6K05, the Carlisle - Crewe engineers working. This diagram regularly produces some interesting formations and today was no exception, a very long rake of low sided ballast wagons. Once again the was no early afternoon coal.
