29.12.08 56312 & 67022 Derby - Carlisle, High Barn Farm

Although it was good to have a railtour over the S&C between Christmas and New Year, I could've, and should've done so much better with this. Those that gambled on getting sun on the mountain section all seemed to do pretty well. Hanson Traction's Class 56/3 No. 56312 makes a fine sight and sound however, as it powers through Langwathby with the outward leg of Pathfinder Tours' 'Festive Settle & Carlisle Explorer' railtour from Derby to Carlisle on 29th December 2008. EWS Class 67 No. 67022 was tucked inside to provide ETH for the coaching stock.
