28.2.13 - 66046 6E93 Hunterston - Ferrybridge, Ribblehead - Ribblehead
After the passage of 6M11 a few minutes earlier I was about to leave when I saw another coal working heading away from Blea Moor towards Ribblehead viaduct. This time it was a DBS diagram, 6E93 Hunterston - Ferrybridge, with 66046 in charge. So another fantastic view of S&C coal traffic was in the bag. Of the 2 views of coal trains at this spot today I prefer this one, because the sun had got slightly further round which allows for the light to get between the viaduct struts and therefore makes more a feature of the S&C's most famous structure.
