27.10.12 - 56094 6J37 Carlisle - Chirk, Beckfoot

Just over a month since its debut on the logs in the north west, Colas 56094 turned up once again today on a Saturday 6J37 Carlisle - Chirk, again routed via WCML rather than the S&C. Due to a planned engineering possesion further south it had a re-timed earlier path which made location choice a bit more limited. However, it left Carlisle 81 mins late apparently because the loco hadn't been fuelled prior to it's departure time and was running around 120 down by the time it reached Beckfoot having been looped twice between Penrith and Tebay. By late morning the earlier clear skies had become increasingly cloud covered with some high stuff threatening the sun at times. Seen crawling around the curve just south of the Lune Gorge the heritage machine with a thoroughly frsutrated driver prepares to go inside at Grayrigg loop for yet another stop.
