26.1.13 - 66201 6E85 Hunterston - Drax, Waitby

The third and final southbound coal this morning was 6E85 Hunterston - Drax (a regular Saturday runner) which worked through a snow covered Waitby behind 66201. Ideally for a working at this time of day in January I'd have been at a much more inspiring location, up at Ais Gill MP 260 for example, however I'd taken a drive up to Ais Gill earlier and found it totally clouded out with low cloud spilling over the top of the fells to the west so I was forced back to lower ground. Waitby was one of the few remaining options and it made for a pleasant enough shot. Once again a friendly greeting on the horn from the DBS driver for Sam, Patch and I.
