More good weather greeted the DRS pairing of 57012 & 57007 on the S&C today. Yet again these attractive machines handled the afternoon 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe engineers diagram which was today formed of several flatbed wagons loaded with track sections. Seen climbing south through Birkett Common well ahead of time at just before 2pm. The early running of this working allowed for a quick dash across to Greenholme to get the 56 hauled logs.
