10.8.12 - 66848 6Z70 Ribblehead - Chirk, Blea Moor

My favourite shot today was this wide angle version of 66848 departing Blea Moor loop with 6Z70 Ribblehead - Chirk log diagram. The colourful loco looks well in the evening Summer light surrounded by the bleak Pennine backdrop of Blea Moor. After this I hung around in vain for the cement diagram which was running quite late and in the end I headed home and saw it cross Arten Gill in dull and hazy conditions, a reminder of how quickly conditions can change on the S&C.
