JL - 11.3.25 66425 66434 66117 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Ais Gill

Totally contrary to the forecast the clouds started to break around lunchtime today which meant there would be just a chance that K05 would find some sunshine somewhere around Kirkby Stephen. I left it to the last minute to decide a location, tracking the single patch of blue skies further south. I decided the best option would be Ais Gill so with minutes to spare got to the lineside and put the drone in the air for a bonus shot. The unusual combination of 66425 66434 and DRS 66117 are seen at the head of 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe engineers at Ais Gill under dramatic Spring skies and in cold breezy conditions.
