A very rarely seen part of the network - Hartlepool Docks. The regular flow of tunnel sections for HS2 continues. The overnight empty flats arrive from Willesden before dawn. Throughout the day, a complex series of shunt and moves prepares the train for a departure early evening. After my last visit I had in my minds eye a composition, including sections of the train, the loading train and all the tunnel sections waiting to be transported south. As luck would have it, I didn’t have to wait long on my second visit to be in a position to make this shot a reality. A tatty looking 66510 in terrible external condition is captured deep within the dock complex preparing sections for4M52 Harlepool - Willesden.
