JL - 27.5.24 20901 20905 6J09 Shap Summit - Oxenholme, Shap Loop

With the skies clearing across Cumbria early evening and heritage traction nearby I was once again tempted away from the S&C and over to the engineering possession around Shap. My 3rd visit in 3 days. After clearing culverts either side of Shap village, Balfour Bettie's immaculate 20/9s (901/905) are pictured in Shap loop ready to return to Oxenholme in the early hours of Tues morning under headcode 6J09. It's been a welcome change to the usually static rail scene to have these venerable veterans nearby.
