JL - 15.5.23 66010 6V71 Hardendale - Margam, Hardendale Quarry - West Coast Main Line (north to south)
66010 has drawn out the first loaded section of 6V71 and is seen setting back before returning to the lime works sidings for the remainder of the consist. When fully reformed the quicklime diagram will reverse out onto the down line at Hardendale, before allowing an up express to pass then follow it south. When I saw the l/e working this morning I was hoping that Margam had sent up a well turned out loco and I was not disappointed. In bright and clear Spring evening light, and under stunning skies, a very clean 66010 positively glows as she prepares the long distance Hardendale - Margam diagram.
