JL - 8.5.17 90044 90045 4S44 Daventry - Coatbridge, Lune Gorge - West Coast Main Line (north to south)
The Lune Gorge was a possible location for last Friday's 4S44 diagram but I opted for Shap Wells instead. This evening though, as clear skies appeared from the north I thought I'd give it a go and wasn't disappointed with the result. In stunning scenery and under cold but beautiful Spring skies FHH pair 90045 & 90044 lead the daily Daventry - Coatbridge service towards Tebay, running around 60 mins late at this point which helped improve the sun angle.
