Last Friday afternoon up at Shap the northbound 4S44 containers and the southbound 6K27 engineers almost crossed. At this location the Lune Gorge that presents an opportunity to get both at a classic location. Ideally, to give the very best sun angle, the late afternoon Carlisle - Crewe engineers would run early and the Daventry - Coatbridge containers would run late.
