After a shooting the Blyth & Tyne biomass diagrams all morning / early afternoon things had started to cloud up around Newcastle so I abandoned my final planned shot on the King Edward Bridge. Instead I headed south to grab a shot of 69001 which was working into the North East on 6N71 Doncaster - Tyne Yard engineers. Running early I opted for Ferryhill just before the freight only line re-joins the ECML. Just as the sun repapered GBRf's 69 class doyen 'Mayflower' passed moving much faster than I'd anticipated.
