In my spotting days these units, in NSE colours of course, would herald the approach to London on the WCML. 321/4 units would appear in increasing numbers from Wolverton south and I'd have my head on a swivel watching out for them on either side of my train. They have never been regular workers this far north but just recently an additional mail diagram has appeared on the WCML in the evenings. Branded 'Swift' but listed as Varmis Rail the daily 1M04 Mossend - Birmingham International has been a regular runner. Formed by a 321334 the diagram rushes south on a glorious evening near Low Gill.
