JL - 28.7.20 D6817 / 37521 1Z45 16:12 Skipton - Appleby Crosby Garrett

For the second successive day LSL / RCS cancelled the final southbound run from Appleby of the S&C 'Staycation Shuttle'. Rather than the bad weather of yesterday, it's understood today's reason was low bookings which is a shame and I hope bookings pick up as we get into the Summer holidays. As yesterday sun was at a premium until the skies started to break around teatime. Given the wind direction the best chance appeared to be around Crosby Garret. I really wanted a going away shot of 47593 again but the sun didn't seem 'on' at any of the locations where it would've been on the nose. Therefore the Tractor became the target and at not often seen location. D6817/37521 took me by surprise when exiting Crosby Garrett tunnel almost 7 minutes up and heading for the viaduct with 1Z45 Skipton - Appleby which presumably was running ECS given the cancellations.
