The sun was very much diffused by high cloud as I set out for a shot of the diverted flasks this evening. However, the lower the sun sank in the sky the greater the chance of full bling as the huge flank of cloud dissipated closer to the horizon. In the end, with an advantageous looping at Tebay, 6C46 Sellafield - Carlisle climbed through Greenholme in stunning evening sunshine.
