I've been hoping to try out my new camera and lens for around a month but with little sun and lots of work pre-Christmas, today was my first opportunity to see what it could do. There was very little happening on all routes throughout Cumbria, and with just 3 daylight freights expected the WCML was the best option. I had seen the earlier Tesco and cement but 6K05 would be the main target for the day. Having missed a booked loop further north due to the cancellation of Virgin Pendo service 68023 'Achilles' cruises through Beckfoot with the ever reliable Carlisle - Crewe engineers.
