Brace yourselves. I'm afraid I have bad news for fans of the useful tree at Beckfoot. Just before this shot was taken the tree slightly further back which offered views over the terrible palisade fencing was felled so at that precise spot a ladder is now a must. However, the removal may well have opened up new options from the road bridge itself. We'll see. Sister DBS locos 90029 and 90036 look quite at home on 4M25 Mossend - Daventry as they cruise through Beckfoot under powder blue skies this morning.
