JL 20.3.15 LMS Jub No.46590 'Leander' 1Z91 Carlisle - Tyseley, Thrimby - West Coast Main Line (north to south)
The beautifully turned out Leander in BR black shakes the ground at Thrimby Grange with the returning 'Cumbrian Jubilee' tour which worked today from Birmingham to Carlisle and back, outward via the S&C returning via Shap. I would've been over on the S&C for the southbound steam tour but the general understanding was that it would be diesel hauled after starting several line side fires on its outward run over Shap. Looking at RTT I can see the usual water stop at Appleby was missed and it was running over 1 hour late so I can only assume it was diesel hauled.
