An interesting addition to the WCML timetable this evening was this VSTP for a Clitheroe - Carlisle cement move. I'm unsure why this operated on a Thurs, or why it was pathed west coast, but I wasn't complaining as 6Z03 made up a trio of northbound freights within roughly a 1 hour period through the stunning Lune Gorge. After being looped at Grayrigg unnamed 66728 picks up pace getting a decent run at the climb to Shap. After a period of very wet and unsettled weather the gin clear atmosphere was back and long may it last!
