JL - 17.11.25 60085 6J84 HiR - Brindle Heath, HiB Quarry

The new S&C freight branch serving Horton in Ribblesdale quarry has been operational since Summer 2025 but a high workload had prevented me visiting until this late Autumnal day. After a few teething troubles things seem to be running smoothly now. I knew I'd arrive too late for a fully lit shot but I was keen to get something and I think this backlit general view of 60085 standing ready to lead 6J84 is nice enough for a first attempt. These loaded boxes were working to Brindle Heath today and after grabbing this shot at the quarry I headed north for shots at Ribblehead which were my main target for the day.
